There’s nothing a martini can’t fix

Vodka Martini

June 17th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Start with a splash of dry Vermouth in a chilled martini glass.
Swirl the glass to coat it with the Vermouth, immediately shake out any excess.
No Vermouth should be standing in the bottom of the glass.
Add 2 shots chilled vodka to a shaker partly filled with ice.
Stir gently.
Strain vodka into glass. Finish with a speared pair of olives.

If you are over 50 you remember olives stuffed with real pimientos, not minced pimientos. Minced are colorful and flavorless.

Who the hell drinks vodka martinis? Everyone worth drinking with knows classic gin martinis are the only way to go.
