  Is it really theft? One could argue that the remark section left within the code does contain a reference to the Author and his website. It would be a more convincing argument if it was GPLed or CCed for non-comm use.

  As much as I want to hate the MPAA for using code and not posting the required link, I’m now wondering if, in our anger towards the MPAA, we all didn’t gloss over the actual words. The author only asks for a link when the code is “redistributed”, whereas it seems the MPAA is simply “using” the free code, and that use doesn’t require any reference link. Please straighten me out if I’m incorrect, but I have thee feeling our group hate is blinding us…
