Ethics, the military and the Media

February 10th, 2005 · No Comments

We’ve seen history appear to repeat itself before, from the botched reporting of CBS, to the insistence in the media of how dour post-war situations are, to the latest Eason Jordan situation at CNN.

Last October, I saw a part of a show on PBS that dealt with ethics, the media and the military. It was part of a series discussing ethics in America. I mentioned on a discussion board I frequent and just recently, Greyhawk blogged about it at Mudville Gazette. Now Sarah from Trying to Grok has the link to the series. The two that focus on the military and the media are episodes six and seven, “Under Orders, Under Fire,” parts 1 and 2.

Good viewing, especially in current times with comments made of the US tortuing people and news execs claiming we target journalists.
