Over the river and through the woods indeed. Time for the trek to our families’ homes for the holidays. It’s a three-way split this year with us as one of the sisters is getting married next week. Next year, we’re hosting. The new house has the room and we had fun with the family here for Thanksgiving. Call it a shifting of family responsibilities as time passes. One generation steps up to assume some of the previous generation’s roles. That’s a whole other blog post, though.

To everyone out there, Merry Christmas. Be safe and have fun. For the shipmates manning the watch, stay safe. Fair winds and following seas.
