Swanky Conservative needed a major upgrade. I needed to slough off all the dead weight that’s been keeping this site anchored securely to the bottom of the Web. With a few clicks of the trusty Logitech wireless mouse, this place already feels better. It’s like when you finally tear into that stack of boxes and dusty piles that clutter the shelving in the garage. When you get through bagging things you’ve not even thought of in three years and you give the shelves a wipe-down, you stand there with a smile and a sense of renewed energy.
That’s what’s going on here. I’m smiling, with a nice glass of rye whiskey (Russell’s Reserve) on the rocks.
Some details on the new Swanky Conservative:
- WordPress is the underpinnings for Swanky Conservative. Is there anything better? No. Don’t even try to think of something – you’ll just hurt yourself.
- The theme’s Cutline 2.2. Until I hack the hell of this, or roll my own, I’m going with the default clean, elegant look.
- The whiskey’s Russell’s Reserve, a relatively new Rye Whiskey from Pernod’s Wild Turkey. Rye whiskey was good enough for our forefather’s, it’s good enough for me.
- Cigar’s are by Austin’s very own Bobalu Cigar Company.
